San Diego Real Estate Market Update February 2024 + Local Events

The month of February is special for us! We met 21 years ago at a house in Point Loma on Santa Barbara Street that Layne was holding open. We are so thankful that we met at that open house as we have been married for 16 years and have 2 amazing kids Grace (13) and Vaun (11). We have been working in real estate together for 13 years and Layne has been in the business for 23 years. We make a great team. The balance of opposites! 

The San Diego real estate market is in strong demand from local buyers, out of state buyers, and investors. The limited amount of homes for sale has created a competitive and fast paced environment in the coastal neighborhoods. The combination of the high demand for homes and the lack of inventory has sustained price appreciation. Mortgage interest rates for a 30 year fixed are currently averaging 6.75%. Many real estate experts predict that mortgage interest rates will be going down throughout the year. Many real estate experts also predict that home prices will increase throughout the year.
